So, I haven't posted here in a long time. But I have a question. Im going to paint my stock SS/SC wheels black and I just wanted to know who in here has done them before (with spray paint) and which brand is the best? I know primer is going to be used but does it require sanding?

 

I did mine about a month ago.

two light coats of primer
three or four coats of gloss black dupli colour wheel paint
two or three coats of dupli wheels clear coat

If I do it again i'll do some light sanding. My paint has not chipped yet.

 

i done it and i used 400. i used 2 coats of black and 3 cots of clear. i used paint from home depot and my paint hasnt chipped and i love my wheels

 

Im going with a flat black, so duplicolor is one of the best? How about Rust-O-Leum?

i wanna paintpart of my rims.. i dunno if i shold do the spokes part or the other part. T/C rims by the wayy

 

Your wheels are too shiny for my taste. I want flat black.

i have tc rims and i used rust o leum or whatever its called. i did my whole rim black and i love it heres a picture

 

can you kinda send me a lil how to on paintin my rims please??? materials needed overall cost. what kinda sandpaper grit, how many coats. id appreciate it

id rather have somone do it for me while i helped.. or least have someone who knows what they are doing to supervise.
