I'm looking into getting a Lancer ES. I had to go to the dealer today, and they had one sitting out that had 15,900 on the windshield, and they were trying to sell it to me hardcore. We also have an Endeavor, so I'd get another 1000 off for loyalty according to the guy at the dealer. So, knowing I won't get near what I owe for a trade in on my car, if I can convince my dad, I want this car. He has an old tracker we can trade for a down payment. My only thing is, I know the career field I'm going into does NOT have a high starting salary, so I want to be driving a car that will last a looong time till I can get a new one. My LS has 35,000 miles on it, and it's already been into the dealer too many times, I mean I had a brand new tranny put in at 10k. Do you guys think the Lancer will last longer? I ask here because I know you guys will be honest with me, as you always have been.

id suggest not buying one..my friend owns one and its nothing special at all
