VVT causing weird tuning issue

VVT causing weird tuning issue
At around 3500 rpm and 6000 rpm the car will sometimes run fine thru the rpms and sometimes will totally break up and not want to rev thru these rpms. Is there a simple fix to stop the VVT from causing this?
