CSS.net is bad for your health and checkbook.

As the title alludes, CSS.net is bad for your health and checkbook. Now, since I'm fresh out of warranty I've begun to tinker with my car. I have a few projects in mind and being the nice people you are I figured you'd be more than willing to help me do just that.

Project 1: HID
Linky I believe these are gen 2. All I know is I want them. however as you can see I can choose between the Fusion kit or the more expensive Xetronic. Any insight into which would be a better buy would be great.

Project 2: Wheels, tires, suspension
Wheels 18's wrapped in 215 35 18 BFG KDW 2. Along with the Eibach Sportlines, FE5 struts, shocks and a Strut tower bar

Project 3: Proformance
Being as I have the 2.2L my man parts ache for more horsepower. Within reason I mean so something along the line of a cold air intake and a catback exhaust.

Project 4: Interior
I hate my grey interior. Hate it. I want the awesome black one. This is the one where I'm having the most trouble. The top of my dash is already ebony everything else is grey. Now, I can get the underside of my dash, the entire center console in ebony for roughly $250 give or take. Now where I'm stuck is with the headliner, door panels, ABC pillars, seats, and the rear decklid. I live 30 min from Lordstown where they make the car but wrecked Cobalts arent a hot commodity in the area junkyards. Finding door panels for the sedan are even harder. I'd even settle for the two tone ones actually those are pretty sharp.

Project 5: Exterior
Being as I have a lowly base sedan I have no delusions of gandure however, I was considering swapping out my bumper for the SS although I'd have to run my own foglights that's something I've started to consider.

These projects are not in order nor are they mutually exclusive. I hope you'll bear with me as I attempt to atleast make something of my car.

Alright I guess that was a little bit of a read and more of a statement then a question for themost part so questions are as follows.

1. Which HID kit? Fusion or the more expensive Xetronic?
2.When it comes to the interior are most of the parts swappable between Cobalts? Like will the console from a coupe fit a sedan so on and so forth?

That's all I've got for now.

.
OMG you live in Hubbard? My mom grew up there. I only live about 45 minutes from there. I live in Poland, just outside of Boardman/Youngstown. Nice to know there's another sedan in the area. Hope to see you around.
To answer some of your questions,
1. Go for the ss body kit, that's what I plan to do eventually.
2. the center console and lower dash is swappable between sedans and coupes
3. as an idea for the foglights, unless you really want to be able to turn them off independently, just wire them up to the headlights so that they come on at the same time. That's what I plan to do. If any of you guys who have done that read this, please say if this is a bad idea or not.
4. As for the tires, what is your stock tire size? I had the stock conti tires which were 195-60-15. If that's what you had, go with 225-35-18 tires so that your speedometer is exactly the same. Mines off and it gets annoying to keep track of.

Any pics of your car? I'd like to see a pic

Yup I was raised in Hubbard I work all over the area as a homecare Nurse so I'm pretty familiar with the Boardman, Poland area.

1. I think I like the SS body kit the most however I'm having some trouble locating the side skirts for a sedan.
2. I'm gunna start looking around at the junkyards in the area and start stockpiling parts. I'm putting off all of my mods till the spring tho have way to much to do in the fall.
3.I like the idea of wiring them to the headlights for ease of use I don't know how practical that is so any imput from the other members would be nice. Although I like the idea of a switch somewhere in the car
4. Mine are 195, 60, 15s rockin the steelies ftl. But yeah thanks for the heads up on tire size

I'll post some pics eventually, I keep saying i'm going to do it then never get around to it. I'm off friday so maybe then. Don't expect anything impressive tho. My car is 99% stock

just in case you didn't know, the skirts for the sedan are exactly the same as the ones on the coupes. That might make them easier to find.

I would say put a switch in for them. That's what I plan on. Amber fogs+marker lights=
You could mount a switch board in the trunk release area. That's where I have my sub control mounted. Nice and clean.

I have my sub control mounted on the right side of my console. But I like that idea. I was thinking in the lip next to the accessory plug

Alright couple more questions.

Does the coupe SS bumper fit on a sedan or do I need a specific one in that case where can I find it?

I know you guys linked the kit from 3bspec but what about this kit? (link)? is it plug and play if not is the 3b spec PnP

Where can I find the led replacement taillights? I looked through the websites of the supporting vendors couldn't find them a quick google shopping search came up with about 2 pages worth of results.

I've read in various other threads about the led strip burning out I was wondering if the problem has been rectified or not? any info?

Thanks in advance for all the help

well idk about the rest, but as far as bumpers go, any cobalt front bumper will fit any cobalt. And cobalt side skirts will fit any cobalt. for those two, it doesn't matter if it's from a coupe or a sedan. As for the rear bumper, you have to get one for a sedan because the tail lights are different from a coupe (as well as the shape of the bumper)

sparknotes= front and skirts don't matter, but you need the rear bumper from/for a sedan

you can find led tails for the sedan at
