so i swaped my gauge cluster for the pursuit one, and now my steering wheel buttons dont work. you know to cheack trip a and b etc., but my temp and kms still work. mines an 07 but the one i got is out of an 06, just wired different u think?

 

Should have asked us before doing it. Because they moved the DIC buttons from the dash to the wheel, you need an 07+ cluster for your DIC to work.

No prob, yeah the red is real nice I'm liking G5's more and more these days.

 

so can u swap all the other stuff like the radio and air controls too, so it all matches.i bought the cobalt cause of the tail lights other wise woulda bought the pusuit, BETTER deal in 07! lol

 

if you ever get rid of it let me know I have a 05 it should work since the cluster I have now is an 06. I didnt know they moved the DIC controls to the wheel tho.

 

well im gonna find a new one this weekend, but if u want i, ill seel it for a hundred.

 

God it's such a pain in the ass swapping the cluster. Even after doing it a few times.

 

I disagree.

My swap was simple and I even swapped the gauge faces out(included in my opinion of it being simple).

 

Anyone have pics of these? If the other guy falls thru. I'm interested

have a look at carbashers or pick your part. you might find one there.

 

I have the stock gauge face from my 07 G5 Gt...

Idk how that would light up with your stock cluster though...

05-06 cluster are all interchangeable

07+ are all interchangeable

do not mix a 05/06 with anything 07+ or you will have problems, its posted in the cluster swap how to i made in the how to section

the led's on the cobalt cluster are greeny and pontiac 's are red

 

The bulbs in my cluster just lit up white.

The gauge face had red cellophane on them to make it red.


I'm pretty sure that's now the cobalt is too.
