Very rough start and idle

I'd say about 2 months or so ago the CEL came on and has stayed on. The car runs fine and doesnt seem to have any issues. Only when I first start the car it idles really rough and seems like it wants to die, but it doesnt. Sometimes it turns over but doesnt start for about 5 seconds or so, but once it starts everything is fine. I checked the code but forgot what it was and dont have the tool on hand to check it again. Like I said, once the car starts and it starts idling right everything is fine, it's just the initial start up, and the CEL is always on now.

Check your plugs, and wires, check tb and maybe clean it, if you clean your tb use a rag soaked in tb cleaner or whatnot and dont spray it or you may jack it up. Kinda sounds like a missfire maybe?

If it's a misfire would the car still run perfectly fine after the fact? Once I get ahold of the diagnostic tool I will check the code and post it.

did the cel start after you installed your intake? if so put the stock one back on and if it doesn't clear go to the dealer. You do have a warrranty. and the actual cel would help too. Disconnect the battery for 10 minutes this can clear codes and if it pops up again then go to your dealer.

It started after the intake. But I seriously had the intake on the car for like 8 months before the CEL popped up. Once I can get my hands on the diagnostic tool I will find out what code it is again.

You think the Trifecta tune is giving me the CEL?

May have a dirty MAF, Check you maf and Plugs. TC's have COP's, so its not as simple as "change your wires."

No idea, just a place to look, or to ask questions.

BUMP!!!

Well after my DP install my car idled very very rough for about 10 minutes. Not sure if it was because it was trying to re-learn, but it was pissing me off. After 10 minutes or so it was idling fine. But then after I stopped to get gas and went to start the car after like 3 minutes it wouldnt start. It turned over for about 5-6 seconds, and then died. 2nd time it turned over for about 5-6 seconds, and finally started up. Gonna check the CEL code and see what's up with that and will post it on here once I find out. Just getting alittle frustrated with the somewhat new car screwing up like this.
