Adam's Tvs Build: 343 whp 300 tq

Adam came to us back in the end of august because he wanted to take the next step with his car's performance. His car already had supporting cooling mods, full exhaust, Stage 3+ clutch, still running the stock pulley though. So we put together a list of parts to come up with a nice recipe for power...

tvs w/ 2.7" pulley
return style w/ 80's
ott 3" intake
e85

total for this was a hair over 2900 including the e85 and install.

Once we finally got a clear day for dyno time we took it in of the street for three pulls with no tuning.

10.7 afr 25 * timing

Pull 1 was 341 whp/ 296 wtq
Pull 3 was 342 whp/ 298 wtq
Pull 2 was 343 whp/ 300 wtq

Cool down time was 5 mins between runs in front of a box fan blowing a whopping 10 mph.
The car ran rich on the dyno by a full point (lack of airflow) so i think 350 is very possible with the right conditions.

Stock tb, head, cams, motor.

Iat 2's were 150 after 5 runs on the dyno
Iat 2's on the street peaked at 128* 68* ambient temps

It will take 79's or 80's with a return style to run e85 on anything but the stock pulley tvs.

OK thats awesomesauce, and I don't want to thread jack but -- E85 is 45 minutes to an hour away from me, at its closest point here in TX. For some reason we suck ***** on this front, i digress...
Would it be possible to get a similar result, although obviously not as high numbers, using 93 + meth? I dropped off the forum for a couple months and it seems like everyone is all over E85 and I can't hop on the bandwagon!

meth should do just fine for ya.. just may wanna up ur ratio to say 75/25 or 80/20 and u shouldnt see much of a difference between the meth and e85... alot depends on supporting mods of course..

You can run 100% meth and get good numbers.

:initiates the slow clap:

Very impressive. I had my doubts about e85, but with all the threads lately it is looking better and better every time. Too bad the krogers and HEBs in my area dont have pumps at all.

E85 is living up to all the potential I heard just a few years back.
