People who ordered in Oct. are just getting theirs now...very...very slowly, I think theres about 8 people on this site total with a SS/SC. Every dealer says 6-8 weeks when you order though. Mid May ?..you'll have a better chance if you try to find a dealer with one sitting on the lot, by luck, and it not being spoken for already. Thats how 1 or 2 people here got theirs. Much luck.

I just got back from Tim Hains here in Listowel Ontario, they have a black SS/SC with no sunroof sitting on the lot, not sold yet, got to sit in it and check it out, coudln't go for a test drive cause they didn't wanna rack up the km's on it, price is $26 045

unfortunetly I don't think they have production normalized enough yet to give an accurate delivery time to anyone yet. Heck I don't think the Cobalts are even present in the entire country.

My order timeline:
9/11/2004: Order placed
2/16/2005: Order Pulled
2/28/2005: Car built
3/28/2005: Car delivered

If your trying to swing something thats time critical (lease turn in, ect) I wouldn't hold my breath

Sorry

Just to give you an idea I ordered Oct 15th 2004 and my order has not even been pulled for production yet. Plan on waiting several months.

the real question is how long did it take from the time they actually started producing the ss/sc to the time of pickup...I dont think they actually started making the ss/sc till the end of january beginning of february...so technically you have only been waiting for two months

I think the time from order to delivery varies greatly on location. People in the north east have been getting cars from what I have seen. Anyone taken delivery of the SS/SC on the west coast, mid west, southwest, ect? Seems to be only MD/PA/NY/NJ area.

I signed the deal for an LS Coupe today w/ the Sports pkg., sunroof, and enhanced audio. There don't appear to be any like that in my area so my dealership is going to do a factory order. They told me 6-8 weeks. The waiting begins...

Mine was placed on February 20th for my SS/SC and expected to arrive around 4-17-05. But, I'm thinking that they are rolling out fast right now because you sure can locate a lot of them on Chevy's site when you do a locate vehicle. Wasn't like that a week ago.

I was one of the lucky few who happened upon one sitting at the dealer. When asking other dealers around here about ordering one, they said I would more than likely be waiting for an '06 model if I did.

So if I put in a factory oorder and I live in NY 6-8 weeks could be reasonable according to patterns of where the SS's are going?

one of the lucky ones...

I ordered mine on march 3rd & picked it up on april 5th. It turned out what I wanted was exactly the same as what the dealer ordered and was allotted so they just put my name on their SS.

i know a few people that work as dealers and managers. they basically told me to not bother ordering one. Just go to www.chevrolet.com and go to the vehicle locator sectoin of the site. it should list every place that has the model you want, from closest to farthest. numbers are still kinda low so u might have to drive a little ways, but if your ready to act do it up. (call dealer first to guarantee its still on the lot!!!)

i wish you guys luck. i know how it is waiting for one of these bad boys _______________________________________________
