I'm pretty sure what we have here is a case of a new owner simply not yet knowing the differences between the models. It sounds like he has a 2.4 SS, plain and simple, and he is referring to that as the "SS appearance package".

welcome....and good choice on the car. I will admit that the GM body kit on the sc's is the best one out....so i don't blame people for putting them on their cars. gm car + gm parts = sweetness
