Aftermarket Header vs. GM Extrude Honed Manifold
A after market header is going to yield more HP if it is designed well. The GMPP header is nice for a warrentied part but won't yield as nice numbers as one with a 3" or 2.5" collector, a long tube design, or a 4-2-1 design. I would wait a little while and spend a little more money on a after market header.
If a company doesn't come out with a nice shorty 4-1 header for $450 tops, I will be purchasing the GM extrude-honed header. It won't give as good of a gain as an aftermarket header but it does get rid of some of the restriction from the stock header.
Thanks I was gonna buy the Weapon R Header but i dont have the money right now due to the fact i just bought the Stage 2 upgrade kit. I'll probly wait and see what else comes out. Anyone who wants to continue adding info to this thread is welcome to do so, I'd like to have more opinions.
I got it and gained 4hp and 6ft/lbs.

I bought one as well. I wanted somthing better than stock untill we actually have a good header on the market. Right now, we don't have any real good ones. The GMPP manifold does flow better than stock, will give an increase in power, and isn't really that expensive. You could always go with the GMPP manifold for now, and then sell it later this year when a better header comes out.
