I would definitely get this if you want instant power! Close for street, open for racing.

i think it will cool your engine down and make it work less to push out the exhaust
a benefit of it is that if you drive to a girls house and her parents are outside awaiting your arrival, they wont judge you on your fart cannon because you can "turn it off" when they are in ear reach

Looks fishy to me.

Having an cutout pretty much makes a huge exhaust leak, which gets rid of backpressure. The less back pressure, the easier the turbine can spin and you can actually gain alot of power on a turbocharged vehicle that way.

No matter what, exhaust will come out of your motor in result of the "explosions" in your combustion chamber. It's going to be hot no matter what you do to your exhaust system and cooling the exhaust gas is pointless because it's basically motor waste.
Cooling is dealt with the intake side of your motor (air coming in).
If he had this on his n/a car, it will be ungodly loud...yes, louder than a "fart cannon".
Moral of the thread...
It won't benefit you if you're naturally aspirated...it can actually hurt your performance. N/A cars need backpressure, having a huge exhaust leak (which is what a cut out makes your exhaust have) will result in extremely little backpressure and that will just hurt you in performance. It's geared towards vehicles that are boosted (more so turbocharged vehicles) or vehicles that are pushing a high exhaust velocity...if you notice, the examples on that page, all of the vehicles listed are turbocharged or using V8s.
