Got a look at a guys CF hood clearcoated

That looks real sexy... and could be a great cheap weight reduction for the black SS/SC's out thier. The car had a stock looking carbon fiber hood that was clearcoated after. Looks super clean.

Very tempting... especially to try and get an after market to suck some of the heat off of the SC.

So anyone keeping a master list of available CF hoods for the SS/SC's?

this has nothing to do with the thread really, so sorry for that, but it is funny.

I was at the mall last night and saw a new STi with a OEM CF hood, but noticed it was messed a little right next to the scoop. I couldnt figure out why a new CF hoof would warp that badly til i got closer and realized that the heat of the past few days made his CF DECAL bubble off the metal hood... what a douche

That hood looks SICK.

Does anyone know how much weight is actually lost by replacing the hood?

I think import trenz needs a better shot of it in action on an actual car though. the only other shot is even worse...

That is the design but obviously not carbon fiber... (I am under the impression that carbon fiber is black isn't it?
