On my SS Cobalt the calipers look like they are zinc coated or something. Should I paint them to keep from rusting and if so with what? also does someone make a grill to cover the intercooler opening, I am noticing stuff lodged in the fins and am affraid that I will get a rock.

I just got a red calipur paint kit for my Blue SS/SC this week.
I am planning on taking off all the calipurs painting them and reinstalling them. They are still pretty dirty after only 5000 miles of use.
I hope the red looks cool with the blue.

painting the calipers will help protect them from rust and keep them looking cleaner ,not to mention give them a high performance look , just make sure u use a brake specific paint or kit ,because of the high tempertures created by the brake components. Red is most common color but i think u can get kits in most colors now. ( I would have went blue on a blue cobalt ) make sure u clean them well as any road grime or brake dust will ruin any effort at a good job. as far as the grill all i can say is maybe u can fabricate something with one of those aftermarket grill kits they sell at most auto parts stores.
