okay...im running stock LS tires...and am a little curious. is it just the way i drive? or are these tires horrible at holding to the ground when cornering?

depends how fast you go. most car makers don't use **** tires on cars... it's just not worth it, remember the ford explorer thing a few years back?

i test drove an LS and as i recall, the tires weren't the hottest thing on earth, but the tracked pretty well and didn't corner badly. i think that i would check the pressure, the rotation, and make sure that you're driving like a sane person.

also, see how well the car tracks (stays in line without your help) if the alignment is off, the whole car won't corner right.

NO dude its not you i have an ls and these tires are ****, any little bit of watter (not even rain) on the ground and they break loose, the first time i was in the rain i wasint railing it or anytihng (new car+rain=safe driver) and they were breaking all over. I would replace them but ide rather save up for a nice set of rims to wrap new tires arround. Aneway ide say replace that crap for someting that can hold better than a bicycle tire.

continental's are notoriously crappy tires... seriously getting on the highway w/ wet ground either means going 40 by the end of the ramp, or spinning like a mad make from 2nd to 3rd that's just rediculous... hell i chirp 3rd gear in an LS!!! thats pretty bad

k..not just me...i slid a little a couple times, n i frequently hear my tires sliding (dont feel it tho) when i make turns...say a typical left hand turn at a 4 lane intersection doing 15...i hear this *eeeeerrrrrrr!!*....maybe different tire sizes will help? move to 17s or somethin...i think theyre wider so that should help (btw, im talkin about dry days when i hear this, and my steering's aligned fine)
