Where's my 7000 rpm's ??
I just got my stage 2 installed today (YA!) It took the tech about three hours to do.I could'nt wait to rip on it.I took the car down the street to test it out it felt like it had more power in the low end once i got moving expecting to see 7000rpm's whammy! fuel cuts off at the same as stock?? Was i reading everyones thread wrong? Does stage 2 not get an increased redline?
I did I talked to the Master tech who did the install on my car, he said he didnt know thats its susposed to rasie the redline.Also he said he did call the number for the reflash at least thats what he said.I even asked for him to call the number on the sheet to verify that it did and the person he talked to said the ECU flash just recalibrates the timing and the new injectors.

Try to get 7k one more time.If your not getting 7k call the tech line yourself and confirm that the dealer got the reflash download and then if they did,talk to the DEALERSHIP manager not the service manager and let him know that your getting hosed,and dont like it.

There is only one reflash stage 1 or 2 the tuning is the same. However the redline should be 7000 rpm if they reflashed it

What gear did you try hitting 7k? Sometimes the tack reads a little slow in first gear, and it will look like you hit the limiter at 6500. I thought the same thing happened to mine, until I tried second gear and hit 7100 rpm before the limiter bounced me. (custom tune, not stage 2)

Take the service tech for a ride and have him watch you bang off the limiter at 6450...that should be all the proof he needs. 

My question is will this cause major problems (like blowing pistons, or detonation) if he doesn't get the tune? I'm just asking b/c alot of people have asked "If i install S2 myself, can i drive it to the dealer to get it reflashed or will that blow up my engine?"
