Got my stage 2 installed on the Ion redline on the 20th from a GM performance parts dealer. GMPP dealers are supposed to know their stuff.

They had the same problem. They flashed it but either it was the wrong one or didn't take, or whatever. I had to take it back the next day. The dealer called in again to GM (according to him) and was given a different number to flash with, this one worked.

Finally finished on the 21st.

This is a TOP GMPP dealer in major metro area that had problems. but most of the dealers, even gmpp dealers haven't dealt with the stage kits.

At first they tried to say it was my tach that was off (yeah right), I have an interceptor so that didn't work.

So, I brought in a dyno sheet of stage 1 vs production that showed the 7000rpm limiter for proof and left my interceptor on the rpm setting.

 

just got my car done with stage 2 this morning, but no 7k limiter, however i am pulling slightly more than 15lbs of boost, i guess its not extremely important to have the rev limiter increased, i just feel like 1st gear is more useless in my car than ever. I am set to go back on monday to hopefully get the problem remedied.

 

then you didnt get the right flash, take Oni's printout to the dealer and have them redoiT!

not to be an a$$hole but i read the entire forum before posting, i was just posting to let people kno that this may be turning into a somewhat common problem!
