Good lord I missed a lot...UPDATE: Clint the tech who worked on my car called me up this morning asking me to come down to scan my computer to make sure it was operating under the code they gave him over the phone, guess what it wasn't. He reflashed to the proper code and and now i'm good to go.It's amazazing how an extra 500 rpm's can make.

I had the same thing happen to me!!!! Had Stage 2 installed yesterday and I still have the 6450 rev limiter. Going back to the dealer on Fri to get it worked out. The dealer told me that they had no idea that the rev limiter is supposed to be 7000.

Any addition updates or advice???

keep your eye on this thread. I will be posting all the info straight from the engineers that designed the software so that everyone is made aware and can print it if needed if there are any similar issues

I'm calling GM tonight or tomorrow. This is bull ****. $400 to get installed... they had my car for 8 hours... and they didn't even do it right. I hope they try and charge me for the Reflash tomorrow. Just let 'em try!

dunno if that relates to this issue. if it does you can just get it reflashed and you shouldn't be charged for it. the server error is gm, the installation is the dealership. make sure if you have a complaint you talk to the right people for the right issue

I also just sent this link to the dealer that did my install to make him aware it it as well, and to read first hand what is going on (sry if that agianst the rules or something) I am just trying to get my money's worth, and make sure everything is correct.

I was in such a depressed mood yesterday after finding out the tune is possibly wrong. I was so excited to get it back, i'm sure u guys have felt that too.

Good to hear it is just a mix-up. I would not have purchased stage II without the 7000 RPM rev-limiter.

Hope that doesn't happen to me when they install it on my car.

the master tech I was talking with that back2gm got his stuff installed through also knows of the site and I believe the thread. I wanna make an official thread when I get the info so that anyone with an issue can just visit the site to view all the info. I will try and get it front page news since it kind of is a big issue.

It's not just 500 RPM's it's a whole other (correct) tune for the stage 2 kit.

If you had the stage 0 (factory) you were missing lots of added stuff.

Yeah, that's me... running Stage2 parts... but with the Stock ECM tune. Dicks... I love driving and usually cruise around every night, but I'm scared to do that tonight. I don't know what it'll do to it. The Tech at the stealership said it would be fine... of course, he didn't know that he had to Reflash it either (Their first time to do it and he didn't even look at the instructions! Try'd for an hour to PULL the stock pulley off... then looked at the instructions and found out he needed a press - Haha, *******).

Does anyone know if it ACTUALLY is alright to drive around... or to even lay on it? I would figure it would be fine. I can and have hit 14 PSI (before I found out he didn't reflash it), I'd imagine it would just run rich because of the bigger injectors. I dunno... Help me!

This is back2gm’s PCM information. notice that the current# 4 and 5 have 2 numbers. Those are the wrong codes that were flashed to his PCM. The selected numbers are the corrected codes that were entered by Clint the Master Tech at Bill Heard so that the car had the newest update for the stage kit. He found out what was wrong and called back2gm to correct the issue.
-----
Anyone else that has this issue should get their car scanned to insure that the latest update has been used. Those done at Bill Heard should go back to make sure they have the latest version of the software. Clint knows how many he has installed so he wants those that have their receipts only from the install at the Bill Heard dealership in Scottsdale AZ to take their car in with the receipt and he will flash it one time no charge and make sure all the latest software has been flashed to the PCM if needed. Anyone else that had their kits installed by other sources can still go in to have it done at Bill Heard and he can personally see to it that the updates are installed but you must expect to pay at least an hours worth of labor.

While I was their Clint scanned my car to see what updates I had and to see if there are any new updates that are needed, ... there was. There was an issue with my car which explains a lot with how my car was running. The code is a false lean/lean code that may or may not present itself visibly by a check engine light unless there is an issue that shows up 2 times within the same on running cycle with specific situations but could have the same effect as a lean code. Once the code is found it never goes away even if the cel doesn't show up at all so you would never know you had the issue unless you got the car scanned. I was flashed and while I don't believe there is enough of an issue to be noticed in terms of power however I have much better response overall.
