Hey guys,

I know alot of ppl own SS/SC and have just simple add-ons and a common one is the K&N typhoon kit. I have this lit myself for about a year and have had the pcm light on for like ever.

Well I just had my dealer replace my fault PCM which was throwing codes left, right and centre. Before they swithced it out they noticed some faulty wiring leading from the pcm or the harness (sorry I dunno what it really lloks around there), they said the cause of the water damage to the wiring and pcm was extensive. So to rectify the probelm the changed almost everything, including my boost guage and like 4-5 different affected sensors.

Once they had changed the computer and done the security reset, they also reflashed my pcm with the 07 SS/SC cpu info and that to my amazing surpirse also had fixed my PCM light for the intake. So what I am tryign to say is that if you have an 06 and possibly 05 with warranty still go to your dealer ask them to update your computers to the 07, and that will more than likely solve the intake issues. Another note I get less traction and wheel hop probalems too.

Just letting you guys know, who have not done extensive modificatoins and have to stare at that yellow light that there may possibly be light at the end of the tunnel.

The reason the CEL is gone is because you got the latest software.
This software has been out for awhile now.

Good to hear you got the PCM fixed.

 

Lol I did not know the new software was out, I just had issues and thats what the dealer did to fix it. Thx for keeping me posted though.
