Terrible night at the track.
Terrible night at the track.
Went to the track tonight and ran a 14.2 @ 104mph. I am pleased with my MPH but the 2.4+ sec 60' was BRUTAL. I managed to get a 60' time down to 2.38 but I had to baby it off the line, short shift first at about 5000rpm and pedel the car through 2nd to keep the tires hooking.
It was a very chilly night, only about 6 degrees so that made the track and the tires really cold so traction was impossible. Once the car got moving in 3rd it really took off though and ended with a respectable 104 MPH.
I'll hit the track again in the spring with some better tires and some better conditions and I will hit the mid - low 13's
These are some of my friends times so you can compare with mine.
98 Civic Hatch with a SC Type-R @ 5psi ran a 14.5 @ 98mph I think
04 SRT-4 with a GT3082 ran a miserable 13.7 @ 113mph
06 350Z with CAI ran a 14.1 @ 100mph
02 Golf GTi with ECU Flash, Exhaust, DP, Front Mount IC ran a 15.6 @ 96mph
You can see the common trend of terrible times, haha. Only person with a 60' time before 2.38 was the 350Z. His was 2.22
