All With Spec Clutches

Who all has a Spec clutch?

Whats the Positives and the Negatives?

Any Fitment Issues?

Any Slipping Issues?

Why go 2+ over 2?

How is the drivability of the stage 2+ or 2 especially if you have a lighter flywheel?

Sorry for all the ?s but i want to make sure i buy the best, and the exedy is a lil pricy for what u get.

Me I just got a Spec Stage 2. The Fit is great. I used a fidanza flywheel. It engages alot quicker, rarely ever does it slip.... Its not a big difference for daily driven.

Yeah but I think slippage is in the computer for some reason I got it once after a few hard runs. Nothing major and it hasent happened again. I just installed the ingalls torque brace and it seems to firm the shifting up. I like the pair!

I have the spec 3+, and it does fine. Clutch feel is the same as stock, and it's very strong. When we feel "slip" in these cars, I'm not so sure it's the clutch (if you have aftermarket). I've had a few issues at the track where the car won't go into 2cnd gear, only when it's hot. However, I think the issue is actually with the haydraulic lines not keeping up when the fluid is hot. I don't have any issues with the clutch itself. Get a 2+ or a 3+, not the in betweens, as the + series is a stronger clutch.

I got the spec 3+ w/ spec flywheel. Right now, if I do a hard/fast 1-2 shift at WOT, it does nothing but grind. We are gonna try bleeding it for the 4th time and change the tranny fluid. I got 2500 miles on it so far, Im hoping with do time it just goes away, heard these things take a long time to break in.

See, that's what everyone gets. I don't think it's the clutch itself. Our entire slave cylinder setup is stupid anyway. We need someone to come out with a better slave cylinder setup with better hydraulic lines, and then I think we'd be fine.

Intense Racing sells a slave cyliner. Yet I do not know what they did to it at all so I dunno if it will change the grind. Mine finally went away a month or so ago after like 10k miles on my stage 3 and flywheel! no slipping at all yet!
