Stock Belt with 3" pulley???

I just ordered the ZZP hub and 3" pulley and some colder NGK's....just curious if the stock belt will work ok with the 3" pulley, of if I need the shorter GM belt. Anyone who has it let me know....also, should it make a noticable difference in the performance of the car?
