View Full Version : which nitrous to use.. mikess06 10-24-2006, 04:23 PM Hey guys i'm wondering what u guys think about which nitrous system and where to buy ...i'm kinda new so don't rag on me to hard..lol.. i'm only looking for like a 50 shot thanks Fatalis 10-24-2006, 06:56 PM You have an SS or SS/SC? Either way, i would stick with NOS, NX, ZEX. All proven to be reliable and great companies. NX is my personal favorite, becuase its easy to wire up and install. NJHK 10-24-2006, 07:11 PM Read as much as you can on how to maintain a nitrous system before you buy anything. You don't want to get over your head. c0baltic 10-24-2006, 07:14 PM i had a zex dry kit but now i am upgrading it to a wet kit.. i am doing my own install the only zex produckt i am keeping is my bottle other than that i am using Dynotunenitrous.com.. they have good deals and good package -drew turbo06ss 10-24-2006, 07:30 PM If i was you i would use either NOS or NX.. I use an NOS and spraying 75 on it and the plug never looked better. Make sure you go wet not dry to. IonNinja 10-24-2006, 09:39 PM NX is my personal favorite, becuase its easy to wire up and install. thats what they said about the Zex kits :cussing: mikess06 10-24-2006, 10:27 PM thanks guys for the quick post... lol sorry i do have the ss/sc and i'm about to get the dealer to hook me up wit a stage 2 .... i will get wet does anyone have any pictures of the kits hooked up on the ss/sc and maybe some websites on where to buy... thanks Fatalis 10-25-2006, 02:24 AM Yea, but nx IS actually easy to install, no "management box" bullshit. Lol. I just didnt want to say that because i know someones going to flame me :guns: . Blububble 10-26-2006, 01:17 AM Yea, but nx IS actually easy to install, no "management box" bullshit. Lol. I just didnt want to say that because i know someones going to flame me :guns: . the bs management box just sits on the inside of the firewall. solenoids are kept inside it. along with a small circuit board. its pretty simple. i dont know that i'd call it a BS management box. do the other systems use your tps to determine full throttle? i like the way zex does that. no need for a bullshite switch under my gas pedal. you will find that different people prefer different nitrous kits for different reasons. i have never used any other, so i cant say which is better. which really is the case most of the time when you get a difference of opinion. not many people can give you facts based on experience. choose which one you like and buy it. they all do the same thing, just maybe do it slightly different. Enjoy Rick Fatalis 10-26-2006, 03:36 PM I was under the impression that any kit could use the tps. The tps is just another flag for the circuit that must be thrown to complete the circuit and power the solenoids. You said so yourself that the box is just the solenoids and that chip, which is why i think its overated. If you think about it, the zex managament unit, is no different than standalone solenoids and a standalone tps. Thats why I personally like NX now, because you can wire it up just like a basic circuit a couple switches (switches being the wot and msd window). mikess06 10-26-2006, 03:43 PM whats the tps and msd switchs? USMCFieldMP 10-26-2006, 03:44 PM Why Wet and not dry... I was told to go dry and not wet. R33P3R007 10-26-2006, 03:49 PM it is always better to go wet. dry sprays n20 alone, while wet adds n20 with the much needed fuel to not go BOOM!!!!!!! NJHK 10-26-2006, 06:14 PM it is always better to go wet. That sounds like a line from "Girls Gone Wild" USMCFieldMP 10-26-2006, 07:24 PM it is always better to go wet. dry sprays n20 alone, while wet adds n20 with the much needed fuel to not go BOOM!!!!!!! Okay... hmmm... I was told the other way around... that a Dry system is best because N2O is not combustible until mixed with fuel. So in a wet system... The fuel mixes with the N2O... and is then sprayed threw my SC? Isn't that bad on the SC? I'm new to N2O:rolleyes:. Somebody needs to break it down Barney style for me, please. mikess06 10-26-2006, 07:37 PM thats why i'm going to buy the spacer plate i just want to know if i can use one nozzle of a 50 shot wet. |
