i spoke to the guy who runs the service department here at Plaza Chevrolet. i have an 06 ss s/c with the gunmetal rims, unfortunately, some of the paint has flaked off. its really not that bad if u dont pay attention to it but anyway. they offered to repaint my wheels at no cost and cover it by warranty. however, they will only make the wheels looks like the current 07's, the polish/chrome ones. i really like the gunmetal rims and i probably wont have them polish my wheels until it gets real bad. for those of you who want to get the polish, call plaza chevrolet, and ask for sylvain bedard.


ps. they also warranty warped rotors, however they will just resurface them until they get too thin, at that point they will replace

same here, luckily i have a few spots that are flaking and nothing major, i like my gunmetal too

I was in the same situation, but they painted mine. No warranty, but I got mine painted two tone and they look freaking sweet man!! Screw polish and tell then U want painted wheels period! They will do it for you!

i was at my dealer yesterday, i got an oil change done and ordered the better intake manifold gasket and they are gonna replace that under warrenty when it comes in, since i was there i told them about my chipping rims, they refinshed only one last year and now another one is starting to chip, with a new general manager he ok'd to refinsh the other 3 and if they dont match the refisnied rim from last year they will make them match, also they said that if i bring my winters to them they will install them for free since the wheels have to come off anyways, the weather has been so nice but i do notice the early mornings are slippery and salty later on in the morning so ive decided even if we get very little snow im gonna bite the bullet and get GM to throw on my steelies and have my rims stored in bags in my garage until the spring, ive been fighting about my rims for over a year and finally progress lmao, i was goin to powdercoat them if GM decided not to do anythin, i probably still will, but not for a lil while because whem they get refinished they come out much better than stock, a tad darker and more clear coat is applied.

if u get em done, take some pics for me, maybe ill try to do it through your dealer somehow cuz i dont want the polished wheels that the 07's have

the rims wont be back on the car till spring but ya, when i have them ill take pics of them for you.
