There alot cheaper than the diamond piston set and they have a lower compression. What does the experienced people think?

Your stock pistons are mahle if that means anything. However in regards to these particular pistons you will loose power with these unless you swap to a blower capable of higher boost levels or you go turbo. If you plan on keeping the M62 you need to actually up your compression ratio from 9.5:1 to 10.0:1 to get the power you want out of it. The GM LSJ 300+ hp build can enlighten you on this subject.

With the lower comp you will lose power. Hopefully some new supercharger options are in your guys future. Otherwise a swap to turbo is going to be the only way to get some serious strip hp.
