i have a question will the short through shfter that fits the cav and sufire work on 2.2 ls or lt cobalt has any one tride and why wont the ss work on the ls and lt it looks like the same shifter set up

yeah it fits the ls/lt ...i got one in my ls right now from b&M

it wont fit the ss's cause they have a diffrent tranny

Acually look in the "how to's" pclear does a how to for a SS/SC as well, it works wonderfullly!

You may or may not already know this, but TWM makes a very nice short throw shifter also, I have one on my car. The SS has a reverse lock out on their shifters, not sure about how the Cav and Sunfire b&m shifter would affect that.

IF you want to pay $100+ go ahead and by the TWM, or equivalent. IF you want to spend $40 and get a shorter shifter do this mod. You dont need the reverse lockout, it wont hurt anything.
