Lightbulb Ideas for the Vendors

Instead of everyone posting up what they want in every different forum, why not make a sticky in the supporting vendors forum for people to relay what they want, so the vendors can see how much support is backed behind each idea.

This would not only help the vendors make some money, but get the CSS members the products they would like to see most available.

Just my .02 cents worth.

I know. What my idea is, is to make a Sticky on the page that Lists all the vendors. This way ALL the vendors get to view the thread instead of just one. If everyone posted up that they wanted a "CF Lip Kit" forsay, one of the vendors might see that a lot of people would like to see a cf kit made, and take on the task.

I think it would just be easier on the vendors to see what exactly we want as consumers, instead of playing the guessing game. This could lead to better products, better Group Purchases, etc.

Yes a section to post any ideas that ppl want to see for the cobalts. That would eliminate double posting in different vendor sections. This would be a excellent idea!!

Sounds like a GREAT idea to me. Like a "Member wish list" thread. Might even be easier as its own forum. Cause I'm sure you're going to get a LOT of different requests. A forum would allow a new post for each product requested. Then whoever is interested could post in the forum instead of having to dig through pages upon pages of posts to see if something has been posted. It would also allow vendors a quick and easy way to update on product development and group buys on individually requested items.

Who can get it to us for the better price? Look at that LONG list of supporting vendors. I am sure we could get a few good deals out of it!

That would actually be a good thing... it would encourage competition among vendors, and would thus push each other to make a better product than the other.

I was watching this thread for a while now, it does not look like to many members or vendors are interested in a section. ( We had tons do interest for Tuning and Advanced Tech)

^Why not start a thread asking vendors for what you want in the “General Cobalt” like it was suggested above?
If that goes well, and there are tons if ideas, we can always add a section.

Is it possible to make a new thread under the main page for the supporting vendors? I don't see the icon to make a new thread.

None of the vendors chip in on any ideas it seems tho when ppl post about product ideas. And most of them are great ideas that would sell. If a vendor would like to help out the cobalt community and make some money they should act like they are interested and post something.

My problem with posting in the General Cobalt forum is that which vendors click past this everyday? Not one. If you were a supporting vendor, your going to click most likely straight towards your designated forum. So you put a speed bump in the way, they might slow down to notice whats around them?

What I am saying is that I don't see too many Vendors browse through the general cobalt forum because a lot of the topics in the general cobalt forum don't apply towards the vendors. You put the forum in the supported Vendors forum... it applys to them and they would more than likely stop and read.

while i think its a good idea, i think everyone needs to understand that some vendors get better deals on some things then others. so some will be able to offer lower prices but others will not otherwise they will be doing business making virtually no profit at all.

for instance, depending on the manufacturer that a vendor goes through and how much traffic they do with the manufacturer will effect the pricing we as vendors get . therefore, if a new vendor tries to compete with someone who has been doing business with a particular manufacturer for a long period of time, unless that new company places a very large order, they are going to wind up paying more and charging more if they expect to make any money.

i think all the vendors on the site try to offer specials and group buys when they can depending on what they have stocked and are trying to move at any particular time. I think we probably have a leg up on most of our competetors because we offer the most out of any vendor and some things you can only get exclusively through us. but a "wish list" would def. help us know what to stock more of.
But we also cant always keep 100000 different things in stock.
products which are moving are far better then those sitting around collecting dust.

thats just my .02 coming from a business standpoint and knowing how hard things can get as a vendor. i think all the vendors here do exceptional jobs of trying to work with the customers. i know definately speaking for myself and the company i rep., that we do take pride in what we do for the community and try to lend a hand in every aspect we can. and i think this WILL help.... but i also think only active vendors will really benefit.
