Heat Output of LED's

I was just wondering if led's get hot like normal lights do? if they do get hot, can it get hot enough to melt plastic?

The lights on your keyboard, that you used to start this thread, are LED's.

leds do not get hot, maybe a tad bit warm but nothing to even worry about. how do i know? everything i do is leds haha

dont even worry about it, they dont heat more than regulars barely

Leds dont get hot at all, i bought the LED kit from Mkulrey13 on these forums which BTW This kit freaking rocks thanks dude,.. eer anyway They dont get hot, ull be fine.
