Recaro Seats not offered in Cobalt SS/SC anymore?

Probably a dumb question to ask seeing the 07 models have been out for a while, but I'm wondering if the SS/SC are not being offered with Recaro seats anymore?! I haven't really had much time to look up anything about it because university has been stealing my time, but from what I could see, they aren't offering it anymore...is this true?

They only offered them in the VERY beginning to get rid of the the remaing recaros, but in short only a few were made...but they chose not to offer them anymore starting in 2007. Look on the brightside...they have MP3 player jacks

Sorry...just a little humor there.

I love my recaro's

Different forum, same question, same answer ^.

Agree with everything , but GM had plenty of time to make the Recaro's legal . The 2006 models had the sensor . It more likely they purposely ran out stock on the Recaro's . You should see another weight sensor compatable performance seat option for the 2008 refresh .

Um sorta off topic kinda, but I do believe the weight sensor in the seat for the airbag has nothing to do with height but weight. 50lbs and the air bag will deploy softer then it would at 250lbs, atleast thats what I got out of it

How it works is most certainly based on weight. But it's trying to use weight to estimate height so the geometry of the impact can be better, too.

Your right about the weight vs. height or general body structure . I may have misunderstood what u meant by geometry of the impact ( correct me if Im worng ) , but the bag cant concentrate on a specific area to when it blows . The weight sensor can only control the forcerate at which the bad explodes .

The force at which it explodes correlates to how fast it moves and thus what angles impact will occur at. Regardless, it is far from accurate.

My 2006 doesn't have the sensors in the recaros... Nothing lights up in below the stereo where it is supposed to say if the passenger airbag is on or not. Salesman said it is permanently on.
