Stage 2 comes with the 42 lb injectors. You need the 60 lb injectors for the 2.7". And I would suggest ZZP for the pulley, but thats just my opinion. Oh and yes you will need a tensioner for that pulley size.

Sorry man. I had the Stage 2 and was able to run the Pulleyboys 2.8" pulley on there without changing anything else, just a thought.

Your pretty much stuck with what you got. You could go to a 2.9 pulley and be ok, not much of a gain from GM's 3.0 pulley. You should have looked into the tagracecraft stages. Their stage one now comes with 60lbs injectors. Sorry about the bad news.

Alright i'm gonna settle on a 2.8 do i need a tensioner for it and does ZZP Sell that as well!
This will be relatively inexpensive but when i get 60lb injectors there will prob be major upgrades along with them!!!!blower swap , Pistons , rods , Cam , and more i'm sure!

The stage belt works fine with the 2.8.

Mine is an Intense. I had it put on when I did the stage2. I never had the 3" on. Went straight to the 2.8. Pulleyboyz hadn't come out yet otherwise that is the one I would have gotten.

I thought the injectors were over 100% duty cycle with a 2.8 and 42's ? Wasnt there a thread around here that said they had trouble with the injectors going static? I'd look around Fwiw.

Here's one to read .

yes there was a thread and for general clarification, it is debatable on boths sides whether or not it is reliable. i would lean towards the "less reliable" side, but i live at altitude so that debate does not concern me.

NKs07CobaltSS: i hate to be a dick, but just do some research into this. the answers are there. and i still cannot understand how people have these parts without having any clue as to what they purchased..... u will certainly not be running a 2.7 safely, and u most definitely will not get a 2.7 on your stage 2 hub.

on a better note, the CA pulley RIPS. you will love it. just make sure u have some traction mods (and good luck not running 100% duty cycle on your injectors)
this can be fixed with a custom tune tho man

Ya the 2.8 is debatable but the 2.9 you should be OK. You will still need a tune for it to feel all the benefits. When I was running the 2.8 on GM stage 2 flash I would get a P103 code at high RPM range but the feel of the pulley was grate. To be safe I put the 3.0 back on till I can get it tuned.

The difference in the pulley sizes will be noticeable and you'll definatly be able to tell. Best of luck and hope it turns out the way you want.

I have read all of the threads and for every one i find that says its bad i've found one saying just the opposite . Is it more stress on the engine I'm Sure but truely i don't drive it that hard , don't race yet and don't plan on having it to the track till summer . It will be installed after after i have all the neccessary moitoring devices (Wideband , Interceptor).
And the pulley i ordered will fit the GM S2 Hub it technically a 2.79 which basically means 2.8 . I will be Looking into a tune from the performance shop in town ! thanks for all the advice guys. Oh yes Traction Mods are comming Igalls Damper already ordered More comming! i could use a little more advice on traction mods just starting to look into them !Thanks

OHH & ReNz Your not being a dick I get where your comming from. I Just have done a lot of research and came to the conclusion that yes the 2.8 is very contriversial but i have spoke to at least 8 people who have ran the 2.8 on the stage 2 injectors without problem and some are still running that setup with no problems . My conclusion is that there are a lot of variables in this being bad not just the 2.8 pulley , Like Other mods , Driving style , Racing , & Not monitoring the engine. Becides being on the 2.8 is only temporary for me because i'm waiting to do a major build on the Engine. Rods, Pistons , Cams and more!

sounds good man. just keep in mind that the people you talked to do not have problems "yet". making your injectors go static isnt going to start blowing things up right away.

as you obviously know, there are 2 sides to that theory. i really dont think you will ever encounter a problem, but it just depends on how safe you want to be.
