my dipstick did that, have bigger orings on there to prevent that from happening again, also got them to order the new gasket GM has to prevent this from happening again, should be in by next week since its coming from the states

Ok Just talked to the guy at the dealership He said it shouln't need bigger o rings with the new gasket . I kinda insisted he look into for me he said he would. has anyone had the dipstick pop out with the new gasket. I don't fully understand the reason this is happening so i don't want to insist they put bigger o rings on when i don't know exacltly what i'm talkin about!

i had the orings replaced before this gasket was available, you should be ok with the new gasket.

If the Stage 2 was installed at the dealership they should but i'm assuming they won't untill you have that problem! If not factory sold then more than likely Cost is on you! the o rings are not necessary with the new gasket! In some cases the o rings were changed to keep the dipstick from shooting out but that was before the new gasket fixed the problem with it poping out ! just talked to the tech about mine !

I haven't figured out why they do not sell this gasket with the stage 2 kits since it is a very common problem though!
