Then why when the first intense stage 3 kit came out someone, I think his name was Rob ran it with 42's and a 2.6'' pulley an was the first cobalt in the 12's. Remember I don't have a 7000 rpm redline, I have stock. BTW I don't have this yet.
does it really matter what someone did over a year ago? since then we have learned that even a 2.9in pulley with 42.5lb injectors can get very close to 100% duty cycle and sometimes even break 110% duty cycle depending on conditions. so if you were to run anything smaller than a 2.9 you will just be setting the car up for disaster. and if you run a 2.6 on 42.5's then you would just be purposely destroying the engine. and why would you be running a maf-t? they are unreliable and were just a quick fix for the inability to tune the pcm. now that tuning is availible running a maf-t just would'nt make alot of sense.

LOL...reason why everybody here is freaking out is because you forgot to mention that you need a 2.8" pulley max or 2.6" with a boost controller. If you read my front page GOT BOOST PART II.... you will notice I was using a Boost controller to control the boost at 16-17PSI with the 2.6" pulley. That setup I used gave me a great amount of power.
Thanks
the maf-t is outdated not useless, you could still run it but if your low on cash i would'nt even attempt to run a pulley in the 2.5-2.7 range. you will have to get a good tune 60lbers a full exhaust with header. if you run a 2.5 or certain 2.6's you will need to machine the snout. and you will have to run some sort of cooling setup like a dual pass intercooler endplate or a cobra heat exchanger if you want to run it safely at a good temp. once you run a pulley smaller than a 2.8 the m62 turns into a heat monster. o yeah and plan on a clutch and flywheel since the stock one wont likely last a month with that setup. that is the absolute bare minimum to run a setup with those pullies. you will also have to stiffen up your mounts and you might want to plan on needing some good axles if you drive it real hard or launch it hard at the track. cause you will break them if your not careful. you might even want to plan on some pistons even with a real good tune your walking in the danger zone with a 2.6 or smaller. esecially if you dont have hp tuners and an inate knowledge of how to tune.
