gm color matched paint

whats the part # for black spray paint + the clear coat?
i'm looking to paint my grille and some other stuff today/

also, does gm make a color matched high heat paint? possibly for calipers, and spark plug cover.
a speedy response would be much appreciated. it's my day off, and it's gonna be 60+ degrees outside. finally

on a side note, everyone has probably seen the polished supercharger thread, has anyone painted it? i think that would look bad-ass. if i can get the paint early enough, i might try it.

i will post pics of all the progress, and possibly a how to

I'm guessing you're not really a Chevy salesman then.

The GM code for black is 41U but don't worry GM has used the same black for damn near every car since the 70's! Cadillac had a couple odd ***** but never Chevy.

If your intent on GM paint then yes it holds up on calipers and engine parts just fine. I color matched my Cavi's calipers and engine parts and it lasted till I traded the car in and looked great!

Just get any black as you'll never notice a difference since its not actualy going directly on the cars body. For the calipers you could use the high gloss engine ceramic paint, handles heat up to 800 degrees! Same would be used for the engine parts! The grills just get Duplicolors GM black and as I said the code is 41U. Good luck and post some pics!

Oh as for the supercharger I wouldn't paint it, paint holds heat in. Heat = less HP!

Heres a link to my GM paint stickie it gives you all the paint codes for our cars that GM makes spray paint for.

Yours is the first color I list BTW!
