Recall 2.2L Guys

I took my car in yesterday to get the injectors replaced and the headliner fixed. Both of these were part of GM recalls. The fuel injectors made a world of difference. The headliner looks good too. Anyone who hasn't done this yet should really get it done. +1 for GM

I had both recalls done. The injectors helped fuel mileage and as far as the headliner thing it looks exactly the same. They just installed something underneath it and its not noticeable... there isnt a bulge or anything

Why not? It's a 15 minute job and ya wont notice a thing. If the tech knows what he's doin that is

Yeah that "15min job" took my dealer about 2 and a half hours to do....Then again, it wasn't scheduled.

I haven't taken mine in for the headliner recall... I didn't plan on even doing it, but now that I see its SUPPOSED to be quick and you can't see a difference, I may schedule it for next week.

The headliner looks a lot different. The visors were flush with the ceiling now they are indented into the ceiling. My gas mileage went up a couple MPG, i got 40.5MPG on a 90 mile trip averaging 60MPH. All of my shuddering and weird fuel related noises stopped. I wonder if the fuel pressure was f-ed up or something

The injector recall was for specific VIN cars that got a bad batch of injectors. The headliner recall was for non-side air bag equipped cars. Unlike TSB's, These are recalls, and you normally would get a letter if it applies to you. You can also check by simple asking about open campaigns the next time you are in to your dealer.

I took mine for the key that won't come out of the ignition and when I got the car back, grease fingerprints everywhere on the seats! I don't have the black seats so it's very visible and almost impossible to remove!

I stopped to try to remove these fingerprints because the material of my seat begin to disappear....

And guess what?? The problem wasn't solved! It do it again!!

Headliner

I watched the mechanic do my headliner recall through the looking glass. It looked like two or so styrofoam blocks about a couple inches long .they were glued/ affixed to the underside of the headliner. The mechanic was an older guy who took his time , and I am glad because he really made everything fit with no visible difference. My passenger side window even goes up a whole lot better now than before.
