What you running for timing on 2.5-2.6?

Hey just finishing my tune, commanded and actual a/f ratios are matching up prefectly now. Just wondering what you guys are running for max timing with no meth on pump gas? I've got the knock ironed out but the timing table is really all over the place at WOT. I was wondering if I can just put all the numbers to the same in the WOT areas on pump gas or is that will cause knock and power loss.

you cant, the numbers have to be increasing or youll get knock, What I did when I was on pump gas was, I believe, the most I could get out of it without knock was, starting at 3.5k 14, 15, 16, 16, and 16,5 at 7k.

the numbers have to increase by RPM, but my CYlGmass they can be the same from say, .80 to 1.12.

That's what I thought. I'm getting knock at 15 degrees still. I'm gonna be running like -15 if things keep going this way lol.

Thanks for the help but I do know what I'm doing. I was just wondering why my car can't run much timing.

You want to increase timing when you have lower boost and decrease with higher boost. Think about it, the more timing, the more compression so to keep the same dynamic compression you have to pull timing as boost increases.

The reason you can't run much timing is because of heat, the smaller the pulley the more heat inside the cylinder, the more chance of pre-detination.

Get meth and you can run 24* no problem.

The numbers don't have to increase with RPM. I had my timing set the same from 3500-7000 and never had any issues with knock. For my 91 octane pump gas tune I would 15.5 degrees of timing from 3500-7000 and would get 0 KR up to 140+ mph. On a cold night I could run as much as 18 degrees of timing on 91 octane with no knock. For 101 octane I would run 20-23 degrees for a street tune, and my track tune ran 25.5 degrees from 3500-7000. That tune was also knock free to 140+ mph. The tune was insane and the tires really hated it!
