Billit Oil caps options

well i see one of our vendors picked up on the oil caps i showed you guys a week or so ago..and there selling them for a decent price

but theres more options out there for us, i was in contact with the owner to the buissness "SoCal HHR" , hes the one who sold the caps to Cobalt performance parts, he let me know that these caps they are selling were accually made for corvettes, and to make them fit..they needed to be grounded down a bit.. the caps were for lsx motored corvettes..so i would take a shot in saying the lsx motored camaro's and gto's oil caps would work as well

just somthing to think about if you miss out on the GP cobalt performance parts offerec, but still want one bad enough

anything ebay that says it will work for a LS1 will work for us as well. I have talked to several members that say they use them or they stole theirs off of a LS1. Check ebay they have some nice ones

not trying to steal the thread but when you take the plastic engine cover off how the hell do you get the thing that raises the oil cap off the valve cover? Or does it not come off? It just looks goofy with the oil cap sitting like 2 inches above the valve cover when you dont have the plastic cover on there

the bottom is threaded to the cap. You can remove it. Just requires twisting and some muscle.

the lower part between the oil cap and valve cover is held in by a snap ring. take a small pic and a flashlight to see how its attached and it comes right off.

Wait, what? I thought it just twists off (which I haven't been able to do).

Check out Modern Performance's caps (chrome, red and blue). They are a site supporter as well. Good price too.

Mine just twisted off - I didn't see any retainers.
