zzp poly or billet tranny mounts???

alright well after some mad wheelhop issues i have decided to get some mounts...

my ? is what is the reccomendation the zzp poly mounts or the zzp billet tranny mounts???

is there much of a difference besides the fact that the poly mounts have to use the stock mounts so its more of a hassle to install????

or is there a difference in performance???

all help is appreciated... thanks

oh and would the zzp engine mounts be wise also or is it not necessary???

The billet mounts are stiffer, thus they are better in killing wheel hop. However, they will have harsher vibrations than the poly mounts. I have the ZZP Billet engine mount and poly tranny mount. I have no wheel hop, but vibrations, which I am now used to. Just depends on if your willing to sacrifice a smoothe ride for performance.

yes i would rather have performance....

so if i got the billet tranny mounts i would have to get the front and the rear so it would cost 165 for the front and a 165 for the rear....

but if i got the poly it comes with the front and rear for 95??? then i can use the extra money i saved for a engine mount??? lol

any suggestions? or anyone know if its alot more difficult to install the poly??

I really don't see why. They both use the same bushing, and our stock mounts appear to be cast aluminum. You're just paying for flare when you order an entire mount.

I say get the bushings, and use the leftover to buy an engine mount. Bushings are available from ZZP, Intense, and Prothane.

Changing your bushings is easy, but you need access to a press or large vice. If you have neither, or if you are worried about going back to stock at some point (prying out your old bushings pretty much ruins them), then just buy full replacement mounts and hang on to your stockers.

EDIT - $95 for bushings from ZZP? A pair of Prothane tranny mount bushings is only $60 usd from TurboTechRacing.

Also check out the Turbo Tech Racing Engine mount Many colors, and greatly reduces wheel hop. Add the Prothane trans bushing kit and you should eliminate all wheel hop.
