Are you sure it's the bearings and not the coupler? Seems like a common problem with eaton's junky stock one. It's a really easy and cheap fix if that's the problem. To check for it take off the belt and turn the pulley back and forth. If there is any play before it catches it's the coupler. I never changed the bearings so no help there.

We took a blower apart that has had a 2.5 on it for a long time. The bearings in the snout where perfect. Nothing wrong with them. We think the needle bearings bit the dust. The rotors expanded a bit and ripped into the housing. The coupler goes bad you usually hear a rattling sound from the charger. ZZP makes a stronger coupler then the stock one.

I changed the coupler months ago with the ZZ one. I know its the needle bearings for sure I just need to know if the bearings are the same for Gens 4 and 5? If so do I need any special to to remove or install them. I want to order everything at the same time.

Don't know if you can remove them. They might be pressed in. We got a brand new charger so I can't help you on that.

ADD GREASE, if the bearings all are straight, and not crooked or out of a straight line, just re-pack them with grease.

If you don't have a grease packer you can take a wad of grease in your palm and hold the bearing in the other. Keep hitting the open sides of the bearings into the grease. Repeat until you think it's in there pretty good. That's the ghetto way of packing grease without a packer, but it works. Oh yeah, wear some rubber gloves
