Opinions on Grills

ok so what does everyone think of this, painting the billet grills black? not like a glossy black but like a black, opnions?

i wanted to do the same thing for both of my grills.. i have a black ss and tis jus too much chrome upfront for me.. i was thinkn abuot getting the powdercoated maybe a semi gloss so atleast theres a lil shine

I think it may look good at first, but would probably require some touch-ups pretty often. Chips in the paint will stand out like mad.

yeah so i guess just going back to the stockers and adding the lower would be the best idea

You know that the grills like Carriage Works' are completely black to begin with and then they polish the front, right? You could probably call them up directly to order a grill and just request that they not polish the front and leave it black. A black powder coated grill will stand up just as well as your hood will. I don't see it being a huge issue to keep looking good. I would suggest looking into it. I'm going to eventually, but I'm spending money on other things right now...
