Professional labor you're looking at $1000 or more. So basically with cost of part and cost of installation it'll be around $2k. Definitely NOT a do-it-yourself type of job. Might even be cheaper to just buy a complete LSD-equipped tranny and swap that in. That's my plan for when I put an LSD on my car.

I put the engineered performance street model LSD in my 4t45e automatic when I had mine built. No issues. Didn't cost me anything to install it since I was having the trans built at the time anyway.

an lsd in an auto is somewhat different than the lsd in a manual. in an auto, the differential is at the end of the trans, where the passanger side axle goes in to the trans. in a manual you'll actually have to split the case open and pull everything out to get to it.

I just blew up my trans in my RL (I had the Silver RL with the black rims at the fredrick meet) and I ordered a complete LSD trans from OZERMAN on the Redlineforums he saved my almost 1800.00 on a brand new LSD trans I got it for around 2100.00

This statement is correct. Although it is a different transmission, the same kind of procedure must be done on the auto as well as the manual.
