not methane....Methanol.

Methanol+water (washer fluid) sprayed into your intake, cools the intake charge considerably, and increases the relative octane level, allowing you to run far greater timing, and stay safer due to lower temps.

Yep. Methanol is a form of alcohol. If you search it on the net it will explain it in depth.

Methane brings a whole new meaning to "fart can" On it's own you won't see any power from alcohol injection unless you are not running right (like getting some KR and such). It's gonna give you cooling/octane benefits. That boils down to more boost and timing on pump gas

Well, you would see small gains due solely to IAT2 temperatures dropping, because with methanol you actually can lower the IAT2 temps below stock temperatures depending on how much boost you run.

But yeah....what you said is the most correct statement.

While I agree on lowering the IAT temps you are also fattening up the a/f, which kills power. So I think that (speculation) they should even out eachother and no gain.

That is pure speculation, however, I am inclined to agree with you. However, you would see more more reliable horesepower and possibly a slight gain. You're right though, without a tune the results would be negligable.
