I went to the nearest performance shop, and they want anywhere from $225-$300 to put my Eibach Prokit springs on!

WTF?! I plan on getting the Cobalt SS struts later on. Are they going to charge me an arm & leg for that too?

Does this sound right to anyone? Did you pay less...or more??

Wait and put the struts and springs on at the same time. Doing it seperatly would almost be like paying double. The backs dont matter to much, you have shocks back there (spring and shock are sepearate, but the fronts are struts and the spring/strut are one setup. It'll save you big money.

Yeah, but I don't want to stick the struts on until I know it'll start to give me trouble.
No one else here has had any problems yet with the struts failing, as far as I know.

OK, just wanted to make sure I wasn't getting ripped off.
Because on top of this, I have to find a place to get the alignment done as well.

Yea man easy as pie. Its less than 15 bolts and you have everything off you need to do the install. Look up the how to and see if its something you are up for. It was my first time do it and i got them off and the new ones on in less than 2 hrs. Air tools are very nice as well if you can get your hands on some.

I did mine and its easier then changing oil. What helps alot if you go to walmart and pick up a 12v impact wrench. Plugs right in the cigar lighter and took all my bolts off including the top strut one with ease. I wouldnt get OEM struts unless your getting na deal as it wouild be cheeper to purchase koni's

it's really not hard to do at all... the backs are a piece of cake... basically take off a few bolts and they should pop right off... put the new ones on, and put the bolts back and tighten. the fronts all you need is a spring compressor... if you don't want to buy one because you'll never use it again, you could probably even rent one for the day... if you tried it you'd see how easy it really is...

maybe a member in your area could help out? i know i would help members in my area if they needed help putting parts on.

Yeah, if there was someone around here who could help me out, I'd still pay for their time & work. I don't even mind travelling if it's not that far.

$0. i took them out. then brought them to my buddy at pep boys. he compressed the new ones.

the suspension on these cars is pretty easy to work on. I'll probaably be able to do it next weekend. I'm not even that far from philly. P.M. me
