ok, here's the deal. one of my best friends has a talon and always talks **** about how his talon will stomp the cobalt. (completely stock) neither car has any mods except the talon has an exhaust. we're going down to the track next friday and i was wondering if im gunna get my ass kicked or what? i'm def. a better driver tho.

 

If you're both stock you should be fine. He might get you off the line, but you'll catch up.

well i think he's a poser when it comes to actually know about performance mods n such. he just bought wheels but i think the highest thing on his "to do" list was a blow off valve.

BUT, word on the street is he just put a garett t3/t4 turbo in it..

also, a guy he knows with a civis with an H22A1 in it wants to race for money.. guy is kinda new at driving a stick but i raced him in my sentra and he seemed to know what he's doing. and input?

well i raced a 93 prelude with the same motor swap and i beat him while i was stock, its a tough call... just try without money or just race for like $20

 

I always get nervous when somebody approaches wanting to race for cash.
It usually means they are hiding something that they think will make the difference.
Don't get me wrong, there are some mouthy idiots out there who just do it, but just be cautious.

 

i agree. and thats the only thing worrying me. he may have been holding back when he raced me before. also, that was almost a year ago. he could've done **** to it since then
