door wearing paint
door wearing paint
I have an '07 ss/sc and the passenger side door seems to be rubbing against the body. took the car back to the dealer 1st time and they touched it up. 1 week later looked and the same thing. took it back a second time and they touched it up again and tweaked(bent the door) and ordered a new secondary seal for it. I work at a Gm assembly plant(moraine, oh. Trailblazers, envoys, suvs ect) tweaking the door is no big deal. Saw another cobalt at our last meet that was having the same problem. Just thought i'd start a thread and let you all know what to look for. It is rubbing the top passenger door about 2 inches from the end of the door to the rear. Also rubbing body......... would take pictures, but the dealer's service did an excellent job and you can't really tell now.
My yellow balt (before I traded it in) and both my red and black SS/SC's rub the paint at the top corner of the door. It looks like it's from slamming the doors. The tolerance of the door opening is real close and when you slam it it compresses the weatherstripping more than its supposed to letting the door hit the door opening on the body in the closest spot.

yup
