i was washing my car, and i noticed that my side skirts have these 6 inch cracks on them, i have not raced the car nor have i gone off roading, i have not hit pot holes neither, anyone else have this problem is it covered by my warranty?

 

ive always wondered how fragile these things are, any chance you can get some pics?


and it might be covered by warranty worth bringing it to the dealer and showing tho.

 

i'll post some pictures up in the morning, they are pretty big, i still have no clue how this happened, one is about to come off.......they are pretty thin though

 

Are they in the same spots? Do they have any sort of impact points,or do they look like stress cracks?

 

Sounds like you high-centered it on something. I've crawled over some pretty large curbs... and jacked the car up several times... no signs of cracks in the skirts.

 

The side skirts are pretty flexible. I crushed mine by accident last night when I didn't set the feet on the rear of the hoist to high. The arms bent them pretty good but I noticed right away and let it back down.

Personally, I'd say someone cracked yours putting them up on a hoist.

 

my side skirts are pretty tough, I dropped mine on a jack and they j ust flexed back into place.

 

im pissed, they look like stress cracks, there are no impact cracks, i have 2007 ss/sc and the skirts feel really thin for some reason, taking it to the dealership tomorrow i hope they donot bs with something stupid, the car has 60 miles.......
