8k redline with just valve springs???

I just bought the satge 3 kit, and got valve springs + balnace shafts. GM recommends installing the springs and balance shafts if running past 7k. I can install the springs, but the balance shafts i was going to wait cuz im going to be doing an engine rebuild. Can i get away with running an 8k with just the valve springs, or do I need to install the balance shafts?? Thanks for your input guys

to make the 8k rpm range usefull, you must make power up there. cams, head work. or something else. just throwing this out there. i zing mine to 7200. or 7400 depending on my mood. it doesn't make any more power up this high, but puts me right back in the power band when i shift
