Ive been looking for a new car because quite frankly the balt isnt there on the performance that i want i dont want anything extreme but i want something reliable that pushes 290-300 hp and quite frankly turbo seems like its the only way to go

Now do we have a kit out for our car that is even close to being in production without me having to pay double the amount of money to have custom parts fabbed up? I mean kits that come with front mount and all the neccesary hardware, and then also a packaged tune just like the srt 4...i mean **** they spend 600-800 bucks and they push 260-270 to the wheels with no bolt ons

Now i love the balt but the eaton created way to much heat and im not in the mood for twin charging or using another blower i just want something thats less expensive than those alternatives

Well from what I understand from reading on here, the Turbo conversion isnt cheap and is gonna cost some money, but yeah there isnt very many options thats why I posted Turbo Vs Supercharger and might be considering on saving some money and buying the Turbo conversion, but im unsure yet, but if your looking for 300HP now then thats what you need to do. G/l.

Build the head. The eaton would be great with a awesome flowing head.

Have you seen Rebel's turbo kit, they have a small GB going on now.... I'm one who has purchased it and there are a few others. Stage 1 is only $3400 but it uses the Heat exchanger... and Stage 2 uses a front mount for $4100. Thats not bad prices at all.

Like a fast turbo car for cheap (well at least not alot of money), SRT-4 would be the way to go. However, don't expect to turn and don't expect ANY respect. All the haters just say "oh look, another neon." There were 2 in the area at the strip running high 11s, still street legal, and I don't believe he had slicks. Probably swapped turbos and got a tune though.

Where do you tools get the idea srt-4's can't turn? A cobalt may be slightly more nimble but that's about it. As far as respect goes, he probably gets less in the cobalt.
