Problem with the car jerking when at 21inHg

I am just wondering if a transmission mount is going bad or what, when I am at higher RPMs (3000+) and I let off the gas, it goes to 21inHg which I think is a lot of vacuum, then when I press the gas, the entire motor jerks forward. All comments would be welcome. Thanks.

Regards,

Ryan

could be... but all cars will jerk alittle if you punch it when you're already in gear.

I won't get the Ingalls, its a waste of money in my opinion. I do need to take a look at it, just wondering if it could be anything else.

I would start by taking the engine mount out and inspecting it,just been developing the same myself,I noticed the rubber mount is beat up some.

A delayed update but I put in polly front and rear motor mounts (have yet to purchase the passenger side motor mount) and I noticed it still jerks. I am thinking the clutch may be causing it in one way or another or simply that the motor mount on the passenger side is also gone.

On a side note, with the polly mounts, the motor feels so much more attached to the car, its amazing!

Regards,

Ryan

If I'm understanding you correctly then I always thought that jerk was just a little play in the drive-line. When you go from braking against the engine to trying to accelerate the whole car jerks some just because there's a *little* play in everything. I could be completely wrong though, that's just what I assumed it was. BTW, all 3 cars I've owned (all stick shifts) have done that, so it's not just the balt.

I've noticed this and thought it was excessive . I think it's gear lash in the tranny myself . My clutch is solid , but the transfer from power on to power off, if not done gently, will cause a good sized jerk in my car .
