painted headlights question?

How did everyone who painted their headlights remove orange piece on the side, not the blankers?

it pops right out, and if you really want a clean look get silver bulbs that glow orange.

Or get silverstar amber turn bulbs. They have a sweet bluish-silverish color with a slight orange tint.

To make it easy... Paint the headlight with the orange thingy left on, then just pop it out. That way you don't have to waste tape covering that reflector. The chrome trim you might have to, but I thought it still made it easier.

I'm on my third set, but this time the stock light bulbs won't be going back in .
