That was hilarious...Dodge sucks, why the hell do you think they came out with a lifetime warranty on all their vehicles???? Also, why do you think they stopped making the SRT-4 in the first place????

1) Do you think companies make money by doing warranty work on every vehicle they sell forever?

2) They didnt stop making the SRT-4 because the motor sucked. The car was at the end of its life cycle, if anything the SRT-4 made the production run of the neon run longer.

The ECOtec is a lot better motor than the SRT-4 engine but it doesn't "suck" by a long shot.

so what's that motor going to cost, plus labor and instllation? 5 grand? for what, a starting platform that you'll still have to spend money on? yea, that's a GREAT idea... let me spend 9,000 on my cobalt to run 12's!

i bet you can spend less than half the money to get the same times vs. doing this engine swap. you do an engine swap in a little honda that you bought for 500 dollars. not a new car.

the lifetime warranty is to jump start sales because chrysler group's rep for quality SUCKS.

pick ups and jeeps sell, but everything else kinda sits on lots.

also, that warranty is only to the original owner and has a pretty heavy deductable, as i recall.
