Hooray! Just ordered Stage 2!

Getting it from CrateEngineDepot.

Was gonna wait to get replacement All Season tires first, but with global warming and all - it probably won't snow for at least another couple of months.

LOL

So in a week or two, I should have a Factory Warrantied Stage 2 SS/SC!

Thanks man!

But as some of you guys on this forum already know about myself ...

I am an absolute stickler for adhering to Factory Warrantied parts only.

Nothing more, nothing less.

LOL

That's just me ...

Meh, whats the point? You've already taken it to the track, so technically your dealership doesn't have to honor your powertrain warranty anyways.

Congrats man. Mine is sitting on the couch next to me. Ive been having a helluva time to get an appropriate time with the tech to install it. He works mornings and gets off the same time as I. Know how bad it sucks to look at that damn FedEx box everynight? lol Next tuesdays is the date though depending on if his schedule changes.

You mean that fictitious number I posted in my sig?

Come on man, gimme a break.

It's the people who mess around making hardware changes with their cars (exhausts, CAI's, pulleys, etc.) that don't get their warranty honored.

Everyone already knows that much.

Pleeeaassseeeeeeeeee.

Thanks H/O/L!

Yeah, I'll be dealing with that part of the game in a week or so.

LOL

Well, I'm just suggesting that your "fictitious" number in your sig will have a bigger effect than a CAI or a 2.9

Not a big deal, just my .02

^ You guys are something else.

LOL

But regarding that "fictitious numbers" gig, needless to say .... I couldn't disagree more.

The two issues are actually worlds apart.

Congrats on the stage II purchase. I plan on adding stage II to my car in the Spring, and will probably be ordering from crateenginedepot as well. As for installation, try Denooyer Chevrolet on Wolf Road in Albany. My dad asked them about stage II when he was getting his car worked on, and they quoted about 200 for install (assuming you provide the stage II parts of course). How far from Albany are you?

You can do what most people do and just put the stage 2 pulley back on when taking it in for service.

Yes, I certainly could do that.

But I won't. LOL

You see guys, just to give you an idea of how much (little?) I like to mod ...

The entire year and a half I had my SRT-4, the only thing I did was put a K&N filter on it.

As you can see then, I'm not big on mods ....

So you can believe me when I say that St. 2 will be the extent of my mods.

Thanks xm buddy.

But you modders ... you keep on modding!

I like to see what the other half is doing.

Oh, I just noticed you have the P Zero M&S's. How do you like them?

Those are the one's that I was permanently planning on changing to in a couple of months.

(hint hint to people in warmer climates - Will anyone need a set of new OE SC tires in a few months? They'll only have about 5k on them by then ...)

Just got an e-mail from CrateEngineDepot ... my St. 2 is getting shipped today.

I like doing business with people like that!

Well, I just called another dealer and he said a St. 2 install was 5 hrs of labor @ $80/hr.

That's $400.

But he said he's gonna look into it to see if he can get me a better price ...

Stage 2 is great, after driving with the stage 2 and feeling its performance you'll probably start to think, "Hmmmm, maybe the GMPP header with exhaust might be ok too" Well I did anyway, just gotta save up enough for the purchase.

WOW! $700!

Looks like chris88z24's info on that dealer who's charging $200 is gonna be the winner.
